Terms and Condition

1. Warranty Period & Applicability Warranty applies only to the first purchaser; it is non-transferable. Proof of purchase (invoice/receipt) along with the product model and serial number must be provided when requesting service. Repairs or replacements must be performed by authorized TAKNIC personnel only. Warranty remains valid only for the unexpired period after any part replacement. Replacement of parts or the entire unit is at TAKNIC’s discretion. If the model is discontinued, an equivalent will be provided. On-site warranty is limited to the municipal limits of the authorized service center. Customers outside this area must bear the cost of transporting the unit. 2. Warranty Coverage Covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Additional warranty for compressors (4 or 9 years depending on the model) continues after 1-year basic warranty, covering the compressor only. Free preventive maintenance (labor only) available during the first year. Replacement parts or refurbished parts warranty lasts for the unexpired period of the original warranty. 3. Customer Responsibilities Provide support and accessibility for installation/service personnel. Ensure the unit is installed and used according to the manual. Maintain regular maintenance (especially for air conditioners, every 6 months). Remove third-party software, peripherals, or data before service. TAKNIC is not responsible for data loss. Notify TAKNIC for installation changes or relocation. 4. Warranty Exclusions / Limitations Warranty does not cover: Damage from unauthorized modifications, misuse, abuse, or improper operation. Voltage fluctuations beyond specified tolerance. Consequential damages to property or life. External accessories, installation, software setup, or network/hardware optimizations. Physical damage during transportation/handling (scratches, dents, chips). Tampering or removal of identification labels. Incomplete warranty card or non-compliance with user manual. Fire, liquid spillage, power surges, acts of God, insect/vermin entry, or improper repairs. Commercial, industrial, or B2B use (except dedicated commercial AC or B2B products). Products not distributed in TAKNIC India region. Pixel defects within permissible limits (4–12 bright/dark dots per screen). Image retention due to prolonged display of fixed images. Compatibility/connectivity issues. Use of non-recommended parts, peripherals, or software. 5. Air Conditioner-Specific Limitations Improper installation or maintenance voids warranty. Damage to external surfaces, controls, batteries, filters, hoses, etc. is not covered. Unauthorized wiring changes or use of additional wires not provided with the product. 6. Television-Specific Limitations Pixel defects within allowable limits are not covered. TAKNIC is not responsible for loss or damage of user-installed software/hardware. Image sticking due to prolonged display of static images is excluded. Special warranties for LCD/PDP modules may include labor; other parts may not. 7. Legal & Administrative Notes Warranty terminates automatically at the end of the specified period. TAKNIC or its authorized service center may retain replaced parts. No dealer, distributor, or technician can alter the warranty terms. Disputes are settled only in courts in Goa or places with TAKNIC branch offices. In rare cases of unavailable spares, TAKNIC depreciation policy applies. ? Tip for Customers: Always keep the purchase receipt, warranty card, and product serial number. Schedule preventive maintenance and inspections to avoid warranty disputes. Confirm transport/handling costs for service outside municipal limits.
